The membership of AFRA is not intended to be exclusive: we have evolved as a group very naturally since a series of informal discussions in mid-2019, to become a group of like-minded people with a wide range of views, lifestyles and opinions.
AFRA is a strictly non-party political forum – but we do state clear, shared views on key issues.
We don’t always agree on everything, but we have agreed a clear set of principles and objectives which you can see by clicking on the ‘About AFRA’ button below.
AFRA has links with a wide range of groups and organisations in Folkestone. Each is fully independent and AFRA serves very simply as a platform for bringing people together on key issues – we do not dictate or determine policy for others.
Many groups are active AFRA supporters, joining us for our monthly meetings and discussions – which are also open to visitors or observers, including local Councillors. Where possible, we have included links to related websites – you can simply click and connect.
In total, these organisations represent somewhere over 6000 local residents, who deserve to be listened to.
